Kolhapur Healthcare and Medical Camp 2014 - Great learning experience.

I got a golden opportunity to attend the Kolhapur Healthcare and Medical Camp 2014 this year held in Pendakhale village in Shahuwadi taluka 90 minutes away from Kolhapur city. “Massive” is the only word I could think of when I saw the scale of this camp.  The camp site was distributed across 10 acres of farm land which was prepared for the camp by local Kolhapur Shraddawans. Countless people must have worked diligently for 3 to 4 months to make this grand event very successful. Kudos to the planning and management by Shree Anirudha Upasana Foundation, Dilasa medical trust and rehabilitation center and Shree Aniruddha Aadesh Pathak. Of course, this kind of humongous program could not have been successfully executed without the spiritual base of our organization and blessings of Chandikakul and out beloved Sadguru Trayee P.P. Bapu, P.P. Dada & P. P. Nandai.

The day 1 of the camp was free distribution of clothes and utensils to the local villagers. The volunteers in nearby Upasana centers in Kolhapur, Meeraj areas work round the year to survey and identify the families that actually need help and who do come for upasana at local Upasana centers. Hygiene material such as lice combs, bath soaps, tooth powder, washing powder, anti-scabies lotion, water purification liquid and nail cutters were distributed to the families of villagers. Sweaters and godhadi (blanket) were also distributed and were in great demand due to harsh winter in this area. The expected number of beneficiaries was 60 thousand plus which itself indicates the greatness of this camp. 3200+ volunteers contributed to the camp. The camp had General OPD, Student OPD, Dental OPD and Homeopathy OPD. Also there were specialists who were available to the villagers who are not even available to city folks without months of waiting period and prior appointments.  The minor surgeries were done on the spot and there was a medical social work counter for taking help from other hospitals in the area for the major surgeries. Many kinds of medical investigation like X rays, ECG and Pathology tests were conducted on the spot. The camp was supported by 180+ Doctors and 150+ para medical/supporting staff.

It was a life changing experience for me. I realized how we pamper ourselves in our city life and how lucky we are that we do not have to deal with all the hardships. We can never imagine that having warm clothes to wear and sufficient food for 2 meals a day could be a big luxury. I never imagined that our old clothes could bring so much joy on someone’s face.  Nandai showered her love and generosity on all the villagers especially students and old ladies with lots of “Day to day essentials” for them.

It really feels good to see that so many Shraddhawan volunteers are trying to walk on the golden path of Bhakti and Sewa shown to us by out beloved Bapu. There was a handicapped person from Jalgaon who had come to attend the camp and to service others. No words to express that. There was a young girl who had come from Dhule to attend the camp. She was the only person from her family to attend.  In today’s world, I was really astonished to see the kind of faith her parents had shown in P. P. Bapu to send her alone from Dhule to Kolhapur.  Our bus drive was a Muslim person. On our way back, there was some unrest on the road. He immediately asked us to say “Hari Om” to avoid any problems for the bus.  Overall this camp was a fantastic learning experience. Shreeram. I am Ambadnya & We are Ambadnya.

Evaluating automated biometric attendace systems

There are many automated systems available in the market which an organization can consider. Following parameters can be used for evaluating an automated attendance system especially the biometric systems which use fingerprints as the identity key for a person.

1. Ability to set up multiple companies/departments – This is important if your organization has employees from multiple departments/multiple legal entities in the same premises and attendance tracking is required at the department/entity level from compliance perspective

2. Quality and robustness of hardware – It is important to check the operating conditions the device can withstand. This is particularly required to be checked when the device is going to be installed outside the office premises, some kind of protective box/case around the device will help to increase the life of the machine

3. The richness of features offered by the software like handling of shifts, shift grace time, temporary shifts, overtime, flag late arrivals/ early departures, outdoor duty, tour tracking etc.

4. Ease of application software – The software are custom built in application languages like VB/.Net/Java, In case a proprietary software is used by the vendor, it is recommended to confirm that software licenses are also included in the price of the system.

5. Amount of fingerprints that can be stored on the device – Typically ranging from 500 to 3000, higher capacity devices are also available.

6. Transaction capacity (Transaction is a record of user having interaction with the device thru fingerprint scanning) – Typical transaction capacities are 60K , 100 K etc. however devices having higher transaction storage capacity are also available

7. Back up option like password – This would be useful in case the scanner stops working or starts malfunctioning, in that case the device can be used to capture the attendance (time in/time out) record based on user entered passwords (Note – This would also need registering the passwords when users are created in the system very first time)

8. Verification time for fingerprints – This would be typically less than a second and in milliseconds

9. Power supply and Battery backup – If the device is going to be operated in open places where power supply is not readily available, it is recommended to consider a battery backup which will cost extra

10. The out of the box reports available in the software and different formats supported like XLS, PDF, text etc.

11. Device communication mechanism with computers – This could be via LAN cable or some advanced devices also offer USB interface

12. Ability to correct back dated transactions – This feature might be useful in special circumstances however the software should have ability to flag the “manual” transactions compared to the “automated” transactions to prevent any wrong doings

13. Future integration needs of the organization – If organization has visibility to future security policies e.g. door should open only after the successful verification of the employee, those requirements should be considered as well

My Bapu will be doing Tapashcharya For ME [A sentimemnt of each and every Shraddhavan]

Hari Om
Today’s Pravachan by our beloved P.P.Bapu must be considered a hallmark of the Love and Compassion He has for us.
Bapu has announced today that He shall be engaged in Ghor Tapashcharya [Severe Penance] of His Beloved mother, the Adimata Chandika for a period starting from the Ashwin Shukla Pratipada, the first day of the Ashwin Navratra [Ashubha-Nashini Navratra] and shall end on Ram Navmi, the 9th day of the Chaitra Navatra [Shubhankara Navaratra] after which the normal proceedings shall begin as per the wishes of Bapu.
During this period He shall be present here itself, amongst all of us but completely immersed in the Tapashcharya, 24 x 7.
He will be doing the Tapashcharya of
1. The BramhaTripuraSundari Roopa of the Adimata Chandika, which is her ShreeVidya Swaroop.
2. Upasana of the Balaatibalaa Vidya which has been handed over to Bapu by his Nitya Guru.
3. Also He shall do the Savitri Upasana, which has been mentioned in the Savitri Upanishad. This Upasana is of the 3 stages of Mata Gayatri, which are Gayatri, Savitri and Saraswati.

Next Bapu revealed to us the answer to the question which was cropping up in all our minds. Why is Bapu doing this Tapashcharya?
He is of the opinion that a significant proportion of Shraddhavans, approximately 80%, had been missing their Upasanas very regularly. We had not been paying heed to his warnings till now and thus have reached a stage where we shall not be in a condition to receive all the desired effects of the Shree Gurukshetram Mantra, our Bapu has asked us to chant regularly. Bapu has taken note of the various mistakes and errors we keep doing. Hence to ensure that our misdeeds do not get piled up on our soul and that we receive the full benefits of chanting the Shree Gurukshetram Mantra, Bapu has decided to take matters into his own hands and hence the Tapashcharya.

Also he stated that the world is hurtling towards the Third World War at tremendous Pace and to ensure the safety of ourselves as well our Motherland He shall be doing this Tapashcharya.

During this period, He shall be staying amongst us but shall be deeply immersed in the Tapashcharya. He won’t be delivering any Discourses nor be writing the regular Agralekhs in Pratyaksha, but again He is free to change his decision as and when he wants and may even attend the Pravachan if so wishes.

During this time He will attend all major events such as the Aniruddha Pournima, Aatmabal Mahotsav etc. He shall be visiting the Shree Gurukshetram on a daily basis and if he feels so may visit it even more than once a day.

During this time his sole concentration will be on his Tapashcharya and nothing else. But even if he is in the depths of the Tapashcharya he shall always fulfil his promise, I SHALL NEVER FORSAKE YOU, which means that his loving hand shall stay over us even during the period of his Tapashcharya.

P.P. Bapu has stated that He Aims to Accomplish the Sarvanga Bramhastra, the ultimate weapon which shall destroy all evil powers which are Anti-Shradhavan and Anti-Motherland. At the same time He shall also accomplish the Sarvanga Karunashraya, the ultimate shield of Love for all those who Love Bapu, Love the Gurukshetram and Love the Motherland. Thereafter He shall stabilise both these entities in the Shree Gurukshetram on the day of Ram-Navami.
What should we Shraddhavans do during the period of Bapu’s Tapashcharya?

Bapu has asked us to remain steadfast on the Bhakti marg and keep doing our Upasanas regularly. He has said that we may do an Upasana close to our heart as These six months shall serve as an opportunity for us to speed up our progress.
He has asked us to chant the Shree Hanuman Chalisa at least once a day [chanting more frequently is advantageous] and offer the same for the Wellbeing of our World.
He has specifically told us not to lose heart over our misdeeds and lack of regularity in doing our Upasanas. He stated that no one should consider that Bapu is obliging them because if we consider Him our father then the question of any obligations does not arise. He considers all Shraddhavans his own family members and has stated that He shall definitely be biased towards ensuring their safety and Happiness.
Finally He has asked us all to stay Fearless and Confident because we must be sure that MY Bapu will always be there for ME, COME WHAT MAY.
Asach ..... Tumcha mee bhaar vahin sarvathaaaa

Tu tar nande ya balakala - By Akshata Veera Chaubal.

Tu Taar Nanade yaa Baalkaala (By Akshata Veera Chaubal in her own words)

My experience still brings goose bumps each time I remember it. It was a nice Friday morning (31st December, 2010). Me and my husband planned to visit my niece in hospital, as she was unwell. Just before leaving, I started experiencing severe cramps in my stomach. My husband advised me to stay at home. But the pain subsided after some time and we decided to go. After reaching the hospital the pains had again reappeared with increased intensity. I started getting the urge to vomit very strongly. But vomiting had left me feeling completely weak and drained out. The pain still had not stopped by then.

We immediately decided to go to our local physician. The journey from the hospital to the physician was a total nightmare. I was lying down the entire journey.
The physician advised us to consult a gynecologist as he sensed some female health related issues. In the mean time he suggested a diet of lemon water and light food. So I had some lemon water and some chocolate for energy. But this caused immediate motions. By now I was so weak that I almost collapsed in my bathroom.

My husband by now had realized that the problem was much serious than it appeared. He called up Swapnilsinha and explained my condition to him. Swapnilsinha promised to communicate our situation to parampujya Suchitdada. He called back with the message that Dada had recommended to admit me at the gynecologist’s hospital in khar west.
My husband then called up the gynecologist to inform him about my condition. He advised us that we should come to his hospital in khar west or go to a nearby hospital. However my husband decided to follow P.P. Suchit Dada’s instructions. Later on we realized why it is always stressed that always follow your Sadguru’s orders.

The hospital was situated on first floor. But the weakness was so intense that I had to take three halts to reach the hospital room. As soon as I reached the hospital room, I collapsed on the bed with extreme exhaustion. The nurses there immediately put me on saline. The doctor’s examined me and his diagnosis was gastro attack. He recommended a complete fasting of food and water. I was to only remain on saline, until my recovery. I recovered by the third day i.e. 3rdJanuary, 2011.

As a final precaution the gynecologist decided to do my sonography. This was just an additional precaution to ensure that my recovery was complete. The doctor was expecting positive report. That’s when an unexpected situation had arisen. He noticed a huge quantity of unexplained fluid in my stomach. He had a hunch regarding the fluid. He decided to do a special kind of pregnancy test. I and my husband were told to go back to my room. After some time, my husband was called back by the doctor. He explained that the test was positive and I was pregnant!!! But my pregnancy was ectopic by nature. This meant that the baby was growing inside the stomach tube, instead of the uterus. It could be extremely fatal for the mother as well as the baby. Also my hemoglobin levels had dropped down to 4.5. I needed urgent blood transfusion. He recommended immediate operation. On hearing this, my husband lost his bearings. He called up Swapnilsinha about the new situation. P.P. Suchitdada called back and told my husband not to worry. He and P.P. Nandaai would be visiting us in the hospital. This shows that a true Sadguru always responds to his devotees cries!!!

Instantly there was this emergency flurry in my room. I remember nurses coming in to get me ready for the operation. Even through this entire scene, I was feeling an extreme sense of calm. My Sadguru was providing me the strength I needed to go through this. During this time Dr Paurasinha also visited us to provide his support. However just before the operation, I started feeling uneasy. Slowly I felt myself slipping into unconsciousness. That’s when my mother announced that P.P. Nandaai had come to meet me. Through the haze I saw Aai walking towards me. Her comforting presence immediately started reducing the queasy feeling. I was feeling too weak to utter any words.

Aai sat down beside and took my hand in hers. She told me and others in the room, to start chanting hanuman chalisa. On hearing this I got worried, because I was feeling too weak to recite chalisa. Aai immediately understood my thought. She told me to do it mentally. I tried to chant it aloud in the beginning. But the exhaustion proved too much and then I recited remaining of it mentally. While chanting, Aai would occasionally caress my face or touch my hand. When it got over Aai instructed that I be taken to the operation theatre immediately. Dr Paurussinha was also present during the entire operation.

The operation went on successfully. The doctor told us that since my hemoglobin levels were extremely low, I needed immediate blood transfusion. P.P. Suchitdada helped us to get the required blood through Dr JayeshSinh Shah. P.P. Nandaai and P.P. Suchit dada left only after making sure I was out of danger. After the operation, I was given the required blood transfusion of four packs. Later on I came to know how closely I had come to escaping the clutches of death. P.P. Nandaai remarked to my family that I had just touched the gates of heaven and came back. Instantly the words from Gurucharitra came back flooding to me. “Kaalmrutyu naa Baadhe, Apmrutyu Kaay kari ?”. Our Sadguru can do anything for the sake of his devotee.

With Bapu-Aai-Dada’s blessings and apt medical treatment I started regaining my health back. I got discharged on the third day of the operation. Even the hospital staff was surprised by seeing my recovery. Little do they know our Sadguru’s motto “ Tu and mi milun ashakya ase hya jagat kahi nahin.”

My pranaams at Bapu-Aai- Dada’s feet, for giving me third chance at life. First when I entered this world, second when they entered my life and third to bring me back from the clutches of death. Hari Om.
